Around Woodstock
CITY ON A HILL is a new church, with a mission to be a place where people of all ages, races, cultures, and backgrounds can come together. We are United Methodist, with a mission to appeal to peaopl of all faith backgrounds and especially those who have no faith background at all.
Worship is an Experience at CITY ON A HILL; real people come together just as you are in blue jeans or suits, we want you want to be comfortable. The music is upbeat and joyful using comtemporary praise sinds and at times, traditional hymns. Our City Kids are excited about the new program LIVE BIG for Pre-K - 4th grade during worship. Crosswoalk is a ministry for 5th - 12th grade youth. They get to enjoy their own time on Sunday evenings in addition to regular worship.

Jeff and I left the Catholic Church because we never really felt connected, and our children did not enjoy (nor learn) while attending classes or mass. Leaving the Catholic Church was an extremely tough decision for us! We were invited to Hillside by a good friend and co-worker of mine, Anna Mixon. After attending Hillside United Methodist Church for about one year and finally experiencing the connection we longed for, we learned that our favorite pastor, Chris Bryant, was leaving Hillside to start the second daughter church of Hillside called CIty on A
HILL. We were hesitant at first, but decided to take the plunge and participate in the launch of CIty on A HILL! our family's faith journey continues to grow and we are blessed to have found CIty on A HILL where our entire family can feel comfortable and connected. Jeff and I are so happy to see our three daughters actually looking forward to attending City on A HILL each Sunday and participating in the developing youth programs.
