There is excitement in the air in Woodstock.  You could feel it recently as the best of the best businesses in the community gathered together at The Plaza North Special Events facility for the Third Annual Around Woodstock Readers Choice Awards Ceremony.  These businesses had the honor of being selected by the individuals whose opinions count the most, the readers of Around Woodstock.  There were over 140 in attendance for a night of good natured celebration.  Please congratulate the employees as you see the awards displayed in their businesses.  Council member Liz Baxter was on hand to welcome and congratulate the winners.  The listing of the winners can be seen on pages 44 — 48.  In our May issue we will feature photos of the winners.

March revealed some beautiful weather . . . makes me want to get outside and play!  Check out the garden section on pages 32 — 43.  It is packed with information you can utilize this Spring.  And while you are at it, make sure you have made plans for the Summer Camps on pages 30 and 31.  They are filling up fast.  Your child can play, explore, and discover at one of the camps listed in our Camps Feature.  It is amazing how much our community has to offer.

On the cover this month is City On A Hill, a new church with a mission to be a place where people of all ages, race, culture and background can come together.  They are located at 2031 East Cherokee Drive in the Johnston Elementary School.  See pages 22 and 23 to read their story.

So Spring has sprung and with it the celebration of life.  Our desire is to reflect the best of our growing community.  We mail directly into 15,000 homes in Woodstock.  The families, businesses, schools, and civic servants form a one of a kind community.  We are always looking for people and activities to celebrate and bring our community together.  Please give us your best ideas!
